Please see below for details on shipping. Up for offer is a beautiful restored Antique circa 1860\'s Romantic Period parlor guitar. The guitar is from European decent and was handmade somewhere between the 1860s-1880\'s. This particular guitar is unbranded but the detail and quality show it was from a respectable maker. The guitar features a beautiful mother of pearl rosette inlay as well as an intricate wood inlay at the base of the top. The back of the guitar is one piece of flamed maple , The sides are also flamed maple and the top is spruce. Amazingly the guitar has no cracks or repaired cracks! The guitar has just been restored by Eiichi Ishikawa at Shuriya Guitarcraft in Vancouver BC.When I received the guitar it had had a non correct style bridge which was installed in the 1930\'s, When the bridge was removed by my tech the outline of the original mustache style bridge was still visible.
He re-created by hand a beautiful Ebony Period correct bridge which looks stunning on the guitar! At this time he also heat treated the neck to straighten it to get the action good and did some finish touch up around the bridge area on the top. The guitar plays well and has decent action. The projection on this guitar is very loud for a guitar of this size. For an Antique guitar this is pretty good!This would be a perfect Christmas gift to yourself or your significant other.If you have any questions please email.
