An antique cuckoo clock, from the early 1900’s.
It has beautiful handmade carvings, an amazingly rich deep brown beauty.
This clock is an unusual early example of a “Hunter Style” cuckoo clock datedearly 1900’s
The face trim is decorated with branches and oak leafs on the sides. A small, full body deer, enclosed in a circle, on each side of the frame. The top crest, follows the same motif with leafs, branches and a large shield with a deer’s head at the very centre. The antlers are made of genuine wood
The dial in brown color has a diameter of 12 cm.
The clock movementis an " Straight Bar” type that it was in use from 1865 to 1900.
The movement has been serviced and it is in good running condition.The clock will strike and cuckoo every thirty minutes and at the hour, the sound of the gong is full and the cuckoo bird with come out of perch, bow, and itsounds well.
This particular style is quite hard to find and it is a great addition to your house and collection
