BLACK FOREST CUCKOO CLOCK- EARLY 1900's- Large
An antique, fully restored Black Forest cuckoo clock, probably from the early 1900's.
This Gorgeous Cuckoo Clock has beautiful handmade carvings, very detailed with real thick and solid wood, in an amazing brown color beauty.
The face trim is adorned with two large flower and very branches on each side. In the bottom center a large flower is adorned with more branches that form a large square on each side. The cuckoo door is adorned with leafs that came from the frame and a small leaf is on the door itself
The top crest follows the same motif with branches and two large flower and a large bird at very centre. This bird has open wings and looks like that it just landed on the branch.
The dial has a diameter of 12 cm. The pendulum follows the same motif with a very large encircled flower with 9' in length and 5' in width.
The movement has been fully serviced. The movement is the “Early Harp” type and it was in use from 1865 to the 1885's.
The clock will strike and cuckoo every thirty minutes and at the hour, the sound of the gong is full and the cuckoo bird sounds well.
The clock comeswith back door, pendulum and 2 weights.
The clock size is: 20" L - 15" W - 8" D
