Antique Reproduction Emma Clear Parian Doll:
Antique reproduction Emma Clear, 1948 Parian Doll. What I know about dolls would not fill a thimble. So who does my Mother-in-law leave to find homes for her "babies"? This doll was not easy to identify. I had to completely disrobe her to find the C48lear signature on her leftlowerback shoulder. She is dressed in period black velvet with all the appropriate period underthings (under slip, panty bloomers and bustle). Bisque shoulder/head, pierced ears (pearl dangle) and original silk taffeta corset. Her hair and boots are beautifully painted. I believe she is in very goodcondition.I could find no damage - but unless it was obvious - I mighthave misses the micro problems. She has been displayed unprotected for some time. She needs dusting/cleaning TLC. Please look at the pictures carefully. What you see will be what I ship. I was never able to find another doll by this maker who had the intricate raised ruffled bisque "coller/scoop neck". She also has a rose in her hair. Please look at the pictures carefully. What you see will be what I ship. No overseas sales please. Pay Pal payment only. To the best of my ability and knowledge, the above information is accurate. If you find any errors - please let me know.
