Antique Vintage Old Chad Valley Mohair Teddy Bear With Button And Label, 1930s For Sale
Charming antique vintage Chad Valley teddy bear dating from 1930s, bearing original button and label
made of golden mohair,
feels to be stuffed with kapok and wood-wool throughout the body and head,
fully jointed,
has got replacement dark orange and black glass eyes,
black vertically stitched nose (I believe part of it has been recovered at some point of teddy bear's life)
inverted Y shape mouth stitching,
original felt pads in fair condition with general wear with pin size holes to left foot pads,
remains of original four claws stitching to paws, five claws stitching to feet large inoperative squeaker in his chest.Woven early Chad Valley label stitched to the left foot pad. Celluloid button reading "Chad Valley British Hygienic Toys" in the right ear.Teddy Bear is wearing green wool hand knitted sweater.
Teddy is approx. 18'' tall.
Condition - teddy bear is in fair vintage condition with general wear and thinning, balding mainly to his chest and tummy.
