Antique/vintage Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Overlay Sherry Decanter & 6 Glasses For Sale
Antique/Vintage Art NouveauSterling Silver Overlay Sherry Set, Decanter w/ 6 Glasses & Tray
A really great sherry set that consists of a small decanter, six shot size sipping glasses, and an oval under tray. The decanter and the glasses feature a sterling silver overlay in an Art Nouveau design, with a floral motif. The decanter has primarily irises, but also smaller petaled flowers inside a nouveau design. The glasses are varied - two have the irises, the other four have the smaller four-petaled flower. They are all the same size, just big enough for sipping sherry. They sit on an oval tray, also trimmed in silver along it's edge. The decanter is marked "STERLING" in faint lettering on the silver rim, just under the lip, near the edge of the clear glass - it's faint, and my camera would not pick it up, unfortunately, but it's there.
Decanter/Bottle: 7 3/4" high with the stopper; 2 1/8" in diameter as measured on the bottom
Glasses: 2 1/8" high, 1 1/8" diameter at the rim
Tray: 7 3/4" long, 4 1/2" wide in the middle, and 5/8" high
Very good to excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Ready for use!
