Antiques Judaica Sterling Silver Passover Kiddush Cup Israeli Gold Gilt
This magnificent Kiddush cup was handmade from Sterling silver and specifically designed for the Passover holiday. It depicts in stunning detail the Exodus of the Jewish people, led by Moshe and Aharon (see photos). The words 'Zechirat Yetziat Mitzraim' (In memory of the Exodus from Egypt) are written on the top in Hebrew (again, see photos).
A similar cup was featured in sale by J. Greenstein & Co. Inc. in 2005, for an estimated $2,500-$3,500 (see catalogue scan).
This cup stands approximately 2.75" inches tall, and the top measures approximately 2.5 inches in diameter. The cup weighs approximately 3 ounces. It is stamped on the bottom '925.' The inside of the cup is gold-gilt.
