For sale is a wonderful and very well known cold painted bronze sometimes referred to as the \"Travelling Musician.\" Although not signed this bronze is almost certainly by Austrian sculptor Anton Chotka (1875 -1925)
Usually modelled as a lamp this is the rarer casting of these particular figures. I have added an image of the lamp taken from Joseph Zobels book on Antique Vienna Bronzes as a reference.
Measures 6\" high x 5.5\" wide. In good overall condition with minor losses and rubs to the paint and top part of the stick held by the Arab is missing as is one nut on the underside of the base. Late 19th early 20th Century. Please look at all images closely as they also act as part of the description.
