For sale is one of the very rare Archie "Canadian White" comics. This issue is Super Comics Volume 2 #2 from 1943. These books were published in Canada for a very brief period during the 1940's. The covers are notable because they feature redrawn versions of Pep covers. The artwork was redone so that the Shield's costume could be changed from a US flag look to the Union Jack.

This issue is complete with 60 pages, including covers. This is one of the odd wartime books that didn't conform with the 68 page standard but had a reduced page count, probably to limit paper usage. The Archie story is "The Painter."

The condition is very good. The cover and centerfold are secure. Paper is offwhite and very supple. The main flaws are writing on the front and back covers. This includes some fountain pen marking to the left of the Shield and what looks like some lines drawn with blue pencil. The whites of Archie's eyes are colored lightly with the blue, which is almost unnoticeable since it is so subtle. Overall this is a pretty solid copy of a very rare, historic Archie issue.
