For sale is Archie Comics #13 for March/April 1945. This one features the first ever Betty and Veronica swimsuit cover. For as much as Archie comics are known for all the covers with Betty and Veronica in bikinis, in the early years, they were few and far between. This issue also includes a scarce story with a double page splash that acknowledges the World War II paper drives. They splash shows a huge "Scrap a Jap" banner in the background. Archie and Jughead with a trip to a dude ranch.

The comic is complete with 52 pages including the covers. The condition is VG with the cover and centerfold securely attached. There's a tiny piece of paper out of the front cover to the left of Veronica's head and some light foxing. On the back cover, there is a paper tear at the spine near the middle of the book. Nothing is missing and it's almost unnoticeable and lays flat. Otherwise paper is very bright and supple with nice bright cover colors. A very solid copy of one of the scarcer Archie books.
