Here is a brief story about Ardor pipes:
One of the pure joys in pipe collecting is the Ardor pipe, and it is surely one of the finest, yet at the same time, most affordable Italian pipes on the marketplace today. Ardor is the invention of the Rovera family, and its origins begin in Varese, Italy in 1911. Originally four brothers (Frederico, Carlo, Cornelio and Franscesco) started the company, which would become known as Ardor, and produced many pipes that have become popular throughout Europe, and now, the United States.
The attention to detail and the fine craftsmanship that you would expect to see in a high quality pipe are all present in the Ardor. They are available in a number of lines including but not limited to, smooth & natural (Venere), carved (Meteora), and sandblasted (Sabbiata). Ardor pipes come in 150 shapes and are principally carved by father Dorelio Rovera and his son Damiano. The name "Ardor" is a combination of the initials of Dorelio Rovera's father Angelo Rovera "AR" and Dorelio himself "DOR". The Italian pipe making community is littered with father and son teams, but few if any can surpass the talented Roveras and their exceptional smoking pipes. We invite you to join those who have already experienced the "Ardor" of smoking a truly great pipe.About this Ardor pipe: You are offerding on an UNSMOKED hand crafted, 2007 year production, GOOD-SIZED Ardor "GIANT", dark stained sandblasted "ring grain" finish, "Bent Bell Dublin" shaped pipe, with a smooth bowl rim, and a black acrylic stem.
Overall, this is one unique and stunning looking pipe!
This wonderful MASSIVE pipe possesses both a great balance, and a comfortable hand feel with some serious "heft". A pipe cleaner will effortlessly glide to the bottom of the bowl. The draft is nice and easy.
Here are the dimensions of this beautiful GOOD-SIZED pipe: The length is about 7.50". The bowl height is about 3.05". The bowl measures about 3.05" from front to back and 2.70" from side to side. The Tobacco chamber is about 1.10" in diameter and tapers down the bowl's capacious 2.55" inner depth. Capacity is generous! The bowl swallows my thumb! This very substantial pipe weighs 222 grams. The original oversized pipe bag and box are both included.
Once again, this is a (7)SEVEN-DAY(7) pipe sale. I do not believe in "Reserve" or "Buy it Now" prices. I want the lucky high buyer to own and enjoy smoking this pipe and not have him frustrate himself with offerding on a pipe that is not attainable on a price basis! Just be the high buyer at the close of this sale, and you will win what could again prove to be the best pipe in your collection!
