Stickley Mission Oak Side Chairs
I have up for sale a wonderful set of 5 unsigned Stickley Era Mission Oak side chairs. Strong and Sturdy , heavy oak and very well constructed. Nice pegged construction with thick solid saddle seats. I am unable to identify the maker but they are high quality chairs. This is a great looking set and they are in good used condition. They were refinished many years back and all I did was wipe them down with an oily cloth. There are some use indications as one would expect but still look decent and are surely usable. The chairs have 3 pegged horizontal back slats and a single pegged slat on the bottom .Thick plank saddle seats . Most of the wood in the chairs is quarter sawn oak. Some chipping and wear to the edges and other general wear but nothing significant. I notice that they were slightly cut down , doesn\'t appear to be too much. All but one chair has metal foot pads with fabric bottoms.
The chairs stand approx 36\" tall at the highest point of the back, the seats are approx 16-3/4\" wide, and from the floor to the inverted V - middle of the seat they measure approx 18\" . I only weighed one chair and it was roughly 17 lbs . They are heavy well constructed chairs.
