Vintage 1920\'s Art Deco Engagement Ring

0.38 carat Old European Cut Brilliant Diamond Solitaire & Sapphire White Gold Estate Ring

Here is your opportunity to own a Gorgeous Treasure from the popular Art Deco Period ~ Circa 1920\'s.

The unmistakable Art Deco setting features a 0.35 ct European Cut Round Diamond with bezel set Trillion Sapphires set on each side.

The sapphires are synthetic faceted Sapphires created by the Verneuil Process whichallows the production of flawless single-crystalsapphires,rubiesand other corundum gems of much larger size than normally found in nature. This is also the process that they use to make sapphire crystals for watches. The mineral Corundum is high up on the mohrs scale at a 9.0 only surpassed by Diamonds. This is why they were a great choice during this time period all the way into today!

The Diamond is in the G-H color range which adds to the beauty of this vintage Treasure~ Clarity is VS2-SI1. Old Mine and Old European Cut Diamonds have a deep cut which makes the Diamond face up smaller than today\'s Modern cut Diamonds. The intricate artwork that was put into the setting cannot be compared to todays rings!

The setting is crafted in 16K White Gold. It boasts exquisite filigree detail with flower motif accents. The Diamond is held beautifully in and octagonal bead set bezel with milgrain details. It brings out the true beauty of the stone!

This ring is a size 5.0 and can of course be sized up.

There are no hallmarks,; however we have acid tested the metal andverifiedthat it falls just between 14K and 18K which is standard for this era.
