This small knight found his way into my office.The statuette is metal, probably spelter, and has been painted. He is mounted on the lid of a small paint can.His dragon breastplate makes me think St George, but there is a small dragon sitting on his head,and I don\'t think St George would stand for that. He may be one of King Arthur\'s knights or some other figure of legend.
There is a lion-like beast on the armor over his shoulders, knees and midsection.The knight\'s sword is broken at the hilt, and the dragon on his helmet has lost one wing and half of the other,but the small knight stands unafraid, in a self-assured posture not unlike Michelangelo\'s David.The knight measures about 9.75\" tall, 14.5\" including the can.
