Arts And Crafts/nouveau Brass/oak Letter Rack W Tonks & Sons Rd. No. For 1905 For Sale
A very stylish brass and oak letter rack made by William Tonks and Sons. It is marked on the underside of the base W T & S with a sunburst and also has this impressed mark on the inside of the brass sides together withthe Rd No. 462291 which I believe is for 1905. The oak base has 4 small brass bun feet and the stylish brasssides remind me of a Charles Rennie Mackintosh design. I would imagine this letter rack will appeal to lovers of both Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau.
