Beautiful vintage folding chess box with brass type carrying handles and hinges. The handles base plates are floral engraved. It has red velvet lined pull out drawers for pieces. Tiles are black with white ones that depict carved, hand painted, Mahjong style scenes. There are carved dragons and phoenix\'s in the wood at the corners of the box. The box is in good condition, no major damage, normal wear from age, use, storage. Is missing some chess pieces, and elastic to hold pieces loose in spots. Missing chess pieces are: 3 red - one pawn, one knight, one rook; 5 white - 3 pawn, one knight, one bishop. My items are yard sale, estate sale, thrift market finds, so may need cleaned.
