The Astatic WR40 is a classic deco microphone. This one has been modified to high performance standards by replacing the non-functioning crystal element with a new ribbon motor. The ribbon drives a Cinemag 9887 (1:35)transformer, thus making this a great candidate for professional use in the studio or on stage.
The exterior has been buffed and polished to a dazzling finish so it will be stunning on stage or in your mic collection. The wind screen \"silks\" were replaced with attractive magenta \"silks\" with hints of glitter; the wiring is high quality Mogami cable throughout; and the captive short pig tail is terminated in a male 3-pin Neutrik connector.
