Atterbury Milk Glass And Blue Marbled Slag Hen Covered Dish For Sale
This beautiful hen was made by Atterbury and Company right around 1900 (the factory burned down in 1902). This is their famous 7 inch blue marbled hen. The marbling on this hen is very good. The eye sockets came with red or brown eyes that were glued on. If the winning buyer desires, I can include a pair of eyes. . .
Condition is excellent for this 110 year old beauty. There is a tiny crack on one of the inner edges of the “dancing sailor” lace border on the base. No other nicks, chips or cracks. More information and pictures can be seen in Regis and Mary Ferson’s book, Yesterday’s Milk Glass Today, plate number 8.
Seven day no questions asked return policy. Payment is expected within 7 days of sale end, unless I am notified. I will gladly combine shipping on multiple items to reduce costs. I will not change the format of the sale once it is running. It is not fair to other buyers. Please do not ask for a “Buy It Now” or for us to end the sale early. The only time I close an sale early is when I inadvertently break an item before the sale ends. If you are the winning buyer, your item will be securely packed and shipped promptly.
