Augarten Porcelain ~ Austrian Borzoi Dog ~ #209 ~ #1713 ~ Rare ~ Stunning

Hi hope you are all happy and safe and ready for a nice summer vacation. Our parents collected, bought, and sold antiques for well over sixty (60) years. They enjoyed every minute of their time with their special things and the people they met along their journey.Theybelonged to many collectors societies and clubs throughout those years. Our dad passed on fourteen years ago, now,and we have been going through his stock and collections passing things onfor others to enjoy. I will continue to tryandkeep things in clusters/genres so it is easier foryou to watch. Also, we have his notes so any information from those I will include in the listings.I am getting ready togo overseas for the year so this sale will bea bit longer to get asmuch accomplished as possible. If you find yourself finished with your offerding, please do not hesitate to ask for your invoice. I will be happy to send you one. Okay here we regards to the animals...I have definitely left the best for last.Up for saleis this STUNNING BORZOI Dog figurine.I am not familiar with the mark, but believe it is an Augarten Porcelainfrom research I have done. Ourdad doesn't say in his notes, but he indicates she is a 900.00 dog and very rare. The detail on her is absolutely beautiful. She is pristine white with the exception of her painted toes, muzzle, inside of her ears, and her gentle eyes. I tried to show as much as I could in the pictures. She is a graceful figurine standing right at 4 1/4" tall from her elegant head down to her gracefully crossed paws and 8" long. She has no chips, cracks, or issues in her glaze. For more information please see the photos. I apologize for any fuzzy pictures. I have come to realize that photography is not my best suit. Finally, if anyone know anything furtherI would really appreciate the information. I have a vase with this same mark and would truly appreciate the information. Please be assured I will pack her very carefully to protect her paws and muzzle. I have placed the information of Augarten Porcelain for you that I have found below the listing. There are two (2) others listed on . One is the same size and listed for 999.00. The other one is the largerversion and it is listed for Buyerto pay for shipping. We will be happy to combine shipping whenever possible.

International Buyers, please do not hesitate to contact me for a quote.

Pleasefeel freeto contactus with questions. We will do our best to help you in any way we can.

If you like this Dog, please see our listings for some more animals, Lenox, Willets, American Belleek, and other things as well. Next week I will begin to list the Disney pieces!!

Again, we appreciate everything and everyone who have been involved with us during this amazing process. It has been so nice to reconnect with people who knewour dad and hear your stories. Also, it has been nice getting to know ers.The majority of youare all very wonderful. It is comforting for us to know that our parent's things are going to people who will love them as much as we have; even more so now having gone through everything we have been through.

In kind regards,

Jill & Family

Augarten Porcelain takes its name from the palace and its adjacent park grounds, where the factory is located, in the Leopoldstadt district of the Austrian capital Vienna. After Meissen porcelain, Augarten is the second oldest producer of hard paste porcelain, tracing its origins as far back as 1718 when it obtained a “privilege” from the emperor. Ever since the factory came under Imperial ownership 1744, works from the Augarten manufactory were marked with the coat of arms of the Dukes of Austria.
