A SUPERB MUSEUM QUALITY AUSTRIAN VIENNA BRONZE OF A FANTASTIC PAIR OF CATS , ONE cat is shaving the other one with an old shaving knife ONE IS SITTING ON A CHAIR AND THE OTHER IS STANDING And shaving him VERY POSSIBLY BY BERGMANN DATING TO C 1870-1910.
This is a superb museum quality Austrian Vienna Bronze (Bronze de Vienne, Wiener Bronze, ) It dates to c1900. The bronze is very possibly made by Bergmann although it is not signed. It clearly is of the highest quality of Vienna Bronzes.
It features the most wonderful miniature pair of cats in the middle of a conversation . The expressions on their faces are fantastic. The details are superb. One of the very best Vienna Bronzes with everything we look for, they are all hand chased and carved , this piece is cold painted ,
