TOGETHER WITH an autograph note (signed simply "W"), one page, measuring approximately 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", on printed letterhead of The Youth's Companion, Boston, 14 May [?] 1897. To "Dear David", writing on editorial matters [in full]: "Here is another batch of the ill-fated infernal Russell matter. This, I assume, is in continuation of the last batch, which, you will remember, we returned, as it was mispaged. Ever yours W." Mailing folds; lightly soled; else good.
