Estate fresh is this very neat Prussian field cap. Has an interesting modification to reduce the appearance of thered band around the cap, appears the owner stitched a removable cloth band over it. I can see how onein the trenches wouldnt want a bunch of red around his head!Came with some other WW1 German items, including a beautiful camo helmetI will have listed shortly. The cap is marked and does have some moth damage near the front. A great example that was probably taken from a trench and saw action!
