Potter, painter and gilder have combined to create a really fine work of art. The white fine bone china handcast vase isinitially ground-laid in rich cobalt blue. The highly skilledAynsley artist then hand paints the central scene ofBalmoral Castleover a fine sepia outline. handpainting of this quality is rarely seen in these days of mass production. A rich 22 carat gold print overlaid on top of the cobalt blue background. Additional 22 carat gold is hand applied to the handles, foot and rim of the vase. The vase\'s lid has a hand gilded crown as its central \'knob\'. The dates 1900 and 1995 are applied to the two handles. Each vase is individually signed and hand numbered bt the artist. Handpainted by J Shaw.Comes complete with a certificate of authenticity and wooden display base. In a small limited edition of 95 of which this is number 58. Mark of the period, synonymous withAynsleyPorcelainitems. A nice item to add to an existing Aynsley collection or just to start collecting. The Twin Handle Vase is in good condition with out any chips, cracks or repairs or any ware to the decoration and would be an excellent addition to any Aynsley Collection as shown in photo supplied.
