Scene shows a view of the Compleat Angler Hotel in Bimini, Bahamas. This establishment was located in the center of Alice Town in North Bimini. Its most famous guest was U.S. Novelist, Ernest Hemingway who was a guest in 1935-37 and is said to have worked on the famous novel, To Have and Have Not. Many other celebraties visited the hotel including: Lucille Ball, Jimmy Buffet and Colorado Senator and Presidential hopeful, Gary Hart, whose trip on the yacht "Monkey Business" and compromising photos with a model ended those aspirations. This hotel became an unoffcial museum dedicated to Hemingway and his exploits in and around the Bahamas. Unfortunately, the hotel was destroyed by fire in 2006 taking with it all of Hemingway's memorabilia, and decades of trophy fish and anglers' memories. Its charred remains are still visited by toursit today. Postcard is in very good condition with some minor wear and lower left bend and is postally unused. Buyer pays $2.00 shipping in the USA.
