Up for sale with is a beautiful c1900 Austrian Art Glass & Silver Plate Wine Ewer or Claret Jug. The Ewer is one of the finest and most beautiful examples I have sold, much nicer than my photos show. The Glass body is done in a rich shade of Green with interesting Threads of a Light Blue. I was told the Pitcher would be Loetz, but there many companies making similar examples and I am no expert so please judge for yourself. The Claret Jug also features nice Silver Plate mounts with a nice late Art Nouveau feel. The Pitcher is in excellent condition overall with no chips, cracks or repairs and only minor wear to the Silver Plate and an old solder repair to where the hinge attaches. The Pitcher measures approx 8-1/2" tall by 3-1/2" wide across the body and would be perfect for display or modern use holding approx 2 cups or a full 500ml Bottle of Wine.
