BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE 19THc FRENCH GILT BRONZE ORMOLU ENGRAVED SKELETON MANTEL CLOCK
Summary This clock has come straight from a huge private collection of fine quality antique clocks which have always been cared for and loved by their previous owner and will prove to be excellent investment pieces which will continue to grow and grow in value year by year This is a beautiful stunning antique 19th century french gilt bronze ormolu skeleton mantel clock by Henry Marc of Paris The clock is in excellent near mint condition and comes witha its origial 5 sided glass case which gives this clock a superb display lookCaseIt has a beautiful ormolu finish to the skeleton frame which sits on a solid oak base The skeleton frame has stunning fine engravings to it all over with various pierced scroll designs the whole front frame which are of excellent quality and in superb condition At the bottom of the frame their are two green malachite circular panels which add a great display look to the clock with a matching ormolu and green malachite panel pendulum which can be seen swinging in between the pillars All the gilt bronze ormolu frame has its original finish to it and is all in excellent condition The glass case is also made from 1/2 inch square oak framework and measures 11.75 inches high x 8 inches wide x 4.5 inches deep and has brass corner plates and is in excellent condition, the case has a peg to the bottom of each corner which sits into a whole in the main base to secure it in place It is in great condition for age as you can see from the photographs including the malachite panels and glass has a white 3.25 inch ring porcelain dial with black roman numerals and has its original black hands, the dial has had some repair work to it which has been done to a good standard and hardly noticeable while on display
Through the porcelain ring dial you can see the french movement which is great to watch

The clock has a french 8 day bell striking pendulum driven silk suspension movement which strikes once on the half past and counts the number of hours on the hour The movement has the Henry Marc oval stamp impressed into the back as well as a circular stamp of Medaille D'argent Comes in perfect working order keeping time with its original pendulum with matching green malachite panel and a new brass winding keyMeasurements The whole clock measures a fantastic 13.5 inches high x 9 inches wide x 5.25 inches deepViewing or Collection of any of our Items is fully Recommended and very welcomed from our Premises

days from the date of saleThe warranty excludes mainsprings and mainspring damage caused by forcefully overwinding and also excludes any setting up or balancing issues (A Professional/experienced person is recommended when first setting the clock up)
