I am working my way through a small attic clearance....there is quite a range of period items coming up this week!! Dating from the late 1800s this is a charming antique French needle case by W.AVERY & SON of REDDITCH .Such an unusual and rare find in the shape of a scallop or oyster shell that opens out to reveal the needle holder within.I have left it just as I found it and it will polish as required.The central needle holder has a beautiful coral deign at the back plate and the holder itself has the needle numbers 6. 7 and 8 along with a UK patent mark.All in good condition the plump little shell measures when closed3" x 3"7.5cms x 7.5cms.A rare find for any period collection or more Belle brocante chic from simply-chateau please see my other items!PLEASE SEE MY BLOG FOR THE LATEST NEWS FROM THE
