This is abeautiful gold-handled plate from Thomas, Sevres, Bavaria, made, according tothe mark, between 1908 and 1939. The makerwas the original porcelain factory in the town of Marktredwitz, which was foundedin 1872 and opened under the name of Porzellanfabrik Jaeger, Thomas andCo. Rosenthal became a major shareholderin 1907, and the company continued as an independent subsidiary of Rosenthal.

This piece is ahand-painted 6 5/8” plate in an Art-Deco-type design of pink and predominantlygold, with a lovely gold handle. It isfree of any crazing, chips, cracks, significant scratches, or other signs ofdamage.
