This is a very beautiful piece of early 19th century French cotton toile de Jouy c1810-20, designed by Samuel Cholet, one of the most famous early 19th century designers. It is much more beautiful in real life than in the photos.

It is lightly hand quilted with a layer of fleece batting and backed with linen.

It has good colour and great detail. A wonderful piece for a collection/study etc.

It measures about 19\" by 15\" or 48 cm cms by 38 cms, the condition is mostly good with minor wear commensurate with age and use, see photos. Thank you for looking.
