Beautiful Oak - Victor Iii Outside Wooden Horn Phonograph - Superb Quality For Sale
This sale is for a very beautiful Victor III with large wooden darted horn. The case has aextremely gorgeous triple stepped base & very nice bold columns in each corner. The machine has a very clean 2 spring motor that runs strong. The machine does have a reproduction crank. The early type turntable is clean with great felt on it. The name tag has a serial number21992. The early back bracket has both the gold & blue lines & is in very nice overall condition with over 90 to 94% of the original stencils. The tonearm & u-tube are veryclean & the reproducer has been rebuilt. The large darted wooden horn is a real standout piece & was repaired by Steve Farmer sometime ago (please check the picture on repair). I did not notice it, but apparently at the factory a piece of oak in the motor board front-center was replaced (must have had damage at the factory or a bad piece of oak) & from the top is almost unnoticeable (check picture from underneath). I believe that the machine have been refinished sometimes in the last 100 years, but if so whoever refinished them did an superior job. Overall this Victor III is a superb machine & a awesome horn are a beautiful pair that are hard to bet. Quality machine, horn & sound. The total package.
