Listed this week is a very large collection of Sheffield Plate, Sterling Silver and Silver Plate, including several very fine Pairs and Single Entree Dishes.

This saleis for a Rare matching Pair of c1810 Georgian PeriodSheffield Plate MakerSignedEntree Dishes. The Entree Dishes are some of the finest examples I have seen with very fancy Rope and Shell borders plus decorated interior rims to the lids, known as Double Stamped and the most desirable form of Entree Dish. The Lids and Bases also have matching numbers, so you know they areoriginal to eachother. The Entree Dishes are in very fine condition, mostly likely having been replated at some point as the Silver is beautiful throughout. The Entrees also display beautifully and are a nice size for modern use as well if you so choose, measuring 10-3/4\" long by 8\" wide and sitting 6\" tall to the top of the removable handles. Both Entrees are Marked, which is Rare for Sheffield Plate, for the fine Silversmiths of Smith & Co. of Birmingham England.
