This fabulous Featherweighthas been cleaned in and out, oiled, greased & timed. Drip pad that catches any oil or grease from servicing in the bottom cover is new &without odor, old oil will give off a strong smell so that has been taken care of. Bobbin case, rotary hook, hand wheel & motorpulleychecked for embedded thread and cleaned, wiring and plug have been checked out and are safe.A newdrive belt added as old one was worn. I don't just service my machines I totally go over all parts and inspect them and adjust if necessary. This beauty has been cleaned, buffed and waxed to enhance it's beautiful gold Prism style decals. It is not necessary to totally disassemble a machine and put it all back together again, the factory built them to last a long time and taking them apart can cause damage unless it seriously needs to be done. Also, I don't give my Featherweight's cute names, I leave thatupto thewinning buyer. I start with only the best machines and casesthat I canfind and then make themperformto theirbest, then enhance orrestoretheir beauty.
It shows signsthat it had been well maintained though the years. light bulb works, motor has been checked out and cleaned inside near armature to make sure that brushes make perfect electrical contact, brushes have been cleaned, internal wiring is safe. As stated above a new belt replaces the old stretched one(may still be a little stiff, if thereare any problems with it turning the machine just loosen the side screw that holds motor to bracket and raise motor up or down until it sew correctly, to tight or loose will effect how machine runs. See last page of manual for adjustments to belt.Foot controller also cleaned and checked.Runs and sews perfectly.
The Prism patterngold decals are in tact and glow beautifully. ready to go to her new home. Just remember to use the large print manual for how and when to lubricate and for directions forusing the attachments. Other manuals are available online from and worth downloading for future use. There are a large verity of otherattachments for different applicationsavailable on if needed.
Case show very light wear for it's age. No musty smell, no worn corners. It has also been stabilized in and out with a product that is similar to what the factory may have used while it also seals out old smells etc. Inside lining also very decent. There iswhat appears to be atear on the outer cover on one sidethat looks like it may have been from the factory, it is not frayedor looseand wood case is stable under it.See extra photos of her belowbelow.
This beautiful Featherweight has it's attachments, printedmanual, case key, bobbins, new bottle of odorlessoiland case. I would advise to use the new odorless oil Singer makes (included) and use new grease to lube motor tubes and gears, The old ones are not odorless. Never oil the motor, use grease. Remember to unplug machine when not in use and yes, light bulb does get hot!

This is a vintage sewing machine, it has light wear as expected a few light scratches on sewing surface that have been minimized by buffing and waxing, it is probably the nicest on Eba tonight. Please use photos to get a better description. Any questions that you have please ask before offerding. I have been using and repairing machines for most of my life, I would not sell anything that I would not use myself. I was raised sewing on a featherweight and I am very knowledgeable on the use and service of these machines. It will be well packaged for shipment, U.S. buyers only.
