This beautiful antique butter dish is marked on the bottom "Wm. ROGERS & SON, 16, HARTFORD, CONN., 5 C" (last photo). This company operated in Hartford Connecticut from 1865-1898. The butter dish is in excellent original condition having no breaks or damages. Its only imperfection is that some of the original silverplating is worn off, mostly around the bottom bowl as shown in the 4th row of photos. As you can see it still retains the ice tray. The butter dish stands 13 1/2" tall and is 7 1/2" wide. A beautiful antique silverplate butter dish that would be a valued addition to your decor or collection.
