THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE DISH SET IN SOLID STERLING SILVER. THIS BEAUTIFUL DISH HAS THE LOOK OF A WOVEN BASKET WITH AGARLAND OF ROSES AND LEAVES. THE DISH HAS A DOUBLE LIP WITH ONE AT EITHER END OF THE DISH. THEREARE TWO HANDLES ON THE DISH, ONE ON EITHER SIDE, THAT ARE IDENTICAL IN DESIGN. THE DISH IS VERY FINELY MADE AND HAS A NICE SOLID WEIGHT OF 184.9 GRAMS (6.52 Oz). THERE IS A FULL BRITISH HALLMARK SHOWING THE LEOPARDS HEAD OF THE LONDON ASSAY OFFICE, THE LION PASSANT INDICATING STERLING SILVER AND THE DATE LETTER 'Q' 1891. THE MAKES MARK IS 'GA' IN A DOUBLE CIRCLE DESIGN WHICH WE BELIEVE TO BE GEORGE ALDWINCKLE. A LOVELY ITEM.
