BEAUTIFUL 1930s TAXCO 980/1000 MEXICAN SILVER BRACELET BY ARTEMIO NAVARRETTE
MEASURES 7" LONG BY 1" WIDE
ARTEMIO NAVARRETTE WAS WILLIAM SPRATLING'S FIRST SILVERSMTH, AND WAS KNOWN TO PRODUCE DESIGNS ON HIS OWN.
NAVARETTE ADOPTED SPRATLING'S EARLY AFFINITY FOR USING THE MORE PURE 980/1000 SILVER.
BRACELET BEARS THE MARKS "TAXCO" "980" AND AS WELL AS THE SILVERSMITH'S STAMPED MONOGRAM.
EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH TINY BUMPS TO A FEW OF THE DOMES.
MEASURES 7" LONG BY 1" TALL.

We just acquired this from an old Escondido estate of an elderly Mingei Museum member, who's husband was from a wealthy Austro-Hungarian family. He served both with the French Foreign Legion before WWII and the OSS during the war....the home literally PACKED full of SEVERAL GENRATIONS of Treasures...from OLD Chinese, Japanese, & European art and objects, to fantastic Jewelry pieces and Heirloom mementos, this treasurehas been safely stored away for decades in a smoke-free home.
