BERNINA Record 930 Electronic Sewing Machine w Case & Accessories Excellent Cond This Bernina 930 Record sewing machine is in exceptional condition and comes from a smoke-free home. Manufactured in March 1983. It comes with the carrying case, knee lift, foot pedal, manual, accessory case, 15 feet, and a brand new Genuine Bernina hand wheel in its original sealed bag. The 930 hand wheel is no longer available from Bernina or anywhere else. I was extremely fortunate to find this one on after months of searching. The original hand wheel is still on the machine. It has a hairline crack which doesn\'t affect the operation of the machine. (See photos.) One could probably sew with the old hand wheel indefinitely. I will leave the new one in the sealed package. The slide-on table is in perfect condition and looks like it was hardly used. The area near the hole where the knee lift attaches shows no wear or scratches. The cover on the bobbin-winding device opens as smoothly as butter. (Opening the cover raises the bobbin winder and switches it on, unlike many machines where the hand wheel must be loosened to activate the bobbin winder.)This 930 has just been serviced by a certified Bernina dealer. (See the receipt dated 9/30/2015). When I dropped off the machine for service, the older lady who took it in commented that this machine has not been used much at all. When I asked her how she knew that, she said that one cannot sew on a machine for long without causing some scratches or wear marks. This machine has none on the sewing area. It does have a few tiny nicks on the bottom. (See photos for details.) We live in a very dry, desert climate so rust, corrosion, or mildew are non-existent. You can see in the photos that the metal parts are very shiny and new-looking. The plastic on the spool pins is bent and or broken near the top. I have ordered a new spool pin unit. If it doesn\'t arrive before I ship the machine, I will ship it to the buyer separately. I believe that the plastic on the spool pins broke when the machine was put into the case facing backwards. (The case has a diagram showing the correct direction that it must be placed in order for the spool pins to clear.)I bought this Bernina 930 about seven years ago. I am the second owner. The lady from whom I purchased it had quite a few sewing machines. She said that she did most of her sewing on her industrial machines. When I bought it, the machine was stuck in basting mode so I couldn\'t sew on it. (The basting stitch must be used occasionally or it will require servicing to unstick it.) Due to my husband\'s job loss and other financial issues, I was unable to have this machine serviced until now. It runs like new. It has probably been many years since it was used. I wish I could keep it but I need to sell it to raise money for a family vacation.Feet and Accessories:The feet and original 930 accessory box were purchased separate from the machine. Some of the feet are numbered and a few are from an older 730 machine and do not have numbers. I know that the 730 feet are genuine because I purchased them with a Bernina 730 case and table. (The owner had traded in the machine without the feet and accessories.) All of the feet fit the 930 and are in very good condition.
