Up for sale with is one of the finest quality and most fabulous Claret Jug or Wine Ewer I have ever sold. The Pitcher is top notch quality being of a very fine Blown Glass Body with an amazing fully figured American Eagle Etched on the front. The Mounts are all Solid Sterling Silver and fully Hallmarked with a Maker's mark of C.F. of Sheffield England and the Date Code for 1872. I am sure the Ewer was made for the American Market with the fabulous Etched Eagle on the front. The Ewer features a very fancy Original Family monogram on each side of the Sterling Mounts that I believe is D.C. or C.D. though it is so fancy it could be almost anything you want :) The Pitcher is a great large size for display or modern use standing approx 11-1/2" tall and measuring 3-3/4" wide across the body and will hold a full 1250ml Bottle of Wine or 42 U.S. Fluid Ounces. The Pitcher is also in amazing all original condition with little signs of use and no chips, cracks, cloudiness to the glass or repairs. I love this piece and I am sure the new owner will be most pleased with their Antique Treasure.

Nor do we accept returns based on buyer's remorse, change of taste, or because a buyer did not realize how "small" four inches might be once in hand.
