Up for sale with is an absolutely Gorgeous Large Silver Overlay on Clear Glass Wine Pitcher or Water Jug. The Pitcher is the best example of Silver Overlay that I have had the pleasure to sell in many years. I could not find a marking, I might have missed it or possibly being rubbed off, though I am told it would have been made by either Alvin or Gorham c1900. The Pitcher features thick Sterling Silver overlay in a beautiful Art Nouveau Period design including Grapes, which is in keeping with it being a Wine Pitcher. The Pitcher is in excellent condition throughout, no chips, cracks or repairs. Also no missing Sterling Silver Overlay and the Glass is crystal clear with no residue or cloudiness. The Pitcher would be a great size for serving Wine, Water, Juice or any other beverage, holding approx 7 cups or a full 1750ml Bottle of Wine. The Pitcher would also make a stunning Vase for Roses etc, measuring approx 8" tall by 7" long across the Handle or 6-1/2" wide across the body. I doubt you will find another as beautiful as this up for sale, especially with !
