Big Beautiful Detailed Charles Vess Fantasy Drawing In Pencil For Sale
The scan tells you all you need to know about this baby! A really sweet and beautifully rendered original pencil piece by the master of fantasy illustration, Charlie Vess. Done in 1981 but in fantastic shape, this piece has just about everything you could want from a Vess drawing. A wizard, a flying carpet, a couple of spooky fairy forest lamps, a big ol' gnarled tree, and even some visible magic going on!Done in pencil on an 11" x 14" sheet of illustration paper, and as you can see, the image fills the whole sheet.Again, in terrific shape. The scan gives a yellowish tint to the piece that really is not there. I won't say it's "like new" or anything as silly as that, but you would never guess it was over 30 years old!Dedication has been edited out for this sale, but there is a name there on the original. It's exactly as it was when first executed in 1981.
