This is for abeautiful and well preservedBilston Enamel etui case from the mid 1700s.The case has a white ceramic background with raised flourishes all around the cameo pictures. There are four different colour cameo scenes, all with musical themes showing a period dressedGentleman playingtheflute for aLady. The scenes are very stylised, they areset in English countryside withtowers andmonuments in the background.It has a little agate set button at the frontand the inside is cut out with individual sections to fit the tools. There are4 of the 6 originaltools inside including an ear spoon, ruler,pen and bow shaped quill trimmer. The etuiis in absolute excellent condition with no damage to it anywhere, no cracks and no wear to the glazed surface, it doesn\'t quite catch when you close it, it maybe just needs a tweek, everything looks in place, there is nothing missing. It measures 100mm (4\") tall by38mm (1.5\") by 24mm nearly 1\".
