Made by Northwood is this cobalt blue, ribbed Tornado vase. The good news, it is aTREMENDOUS vase. The bad news, there is a chip on the base. This is the standard size vase, 6 1/4" high with a 2 5/8" base. The iridescence is Multi-Colored and SPECTACULAR! The blue iridescence that is on the inside, goes half way down. The chip is almost all on the base. It is shallow and in photo 7 you can see the little divit from it that's visible from the side. Photos 8 & 9 show just how shallow it is. If this bothers you, you need to offer on something else. This shallow chip is 5/8" long.
Positively no chips, cracks, fractures or repairs. Guaranteed to be as described. All vintage carnival glass has flaws like straw marks/aka shear marks, bubbles in the glass, tool marks, ash in the glass, dye runs in the glass which are all common in old carnival glass and never to be considered as damage. All flaws, if any,will be described in the description of the piece.
