Original full sized Boer War and First World War medal group awarded to Temporary Major George Alexander Dick - Cunyngham who served with the 1st Rifle Brigade in South Africa and with the Rifle Brigade attached to the 2nd Kings Royal Rifle Corps during the Great War.George Alexander Dick - Cunyngham's Uncle was the famous Victorian Lieutenant Colonel William Henry Dick - Cunyngham V. C who was awarded his Victoria Cross whilst serving with The Gordon Highlanders during the Second Anglo-Afghan War but was later killed in action, at the siege of Ladysmith on 6 January 1900.His Grandfather was Baronet William Hanmer Dick - Cunyngham.
