Book + Pumpkin Patch Classic Style Halloween Lantern #5 Bindlegrim Color Choice:
Welcome to the Bindlegrim Summer Lantern Sale --- clearing out 2012 studio works of limited edition vintage-style 12-sided lanterns inspired by the 1920-30's yet with newer original window imagery and updates by Halloween artist Bindlegrim. This is for one vintage-style lantern Style #5 The Pumpkin Patch (one lantern with a choice of red or yellow). This lot will also include a signed copy of Bindlegrim's latest short story book "Tall Tales for Shorter Days: On Stranger Winds" (featuring cover art by David Irvine) with the original cover before the recent update.Note that lanterns for this sale are the ones shown in the cellophane bags - whereas the other photos were taken when originally produced (therefore these have not been removed since produced). The frame is created with acid-free museum board. The pieces were Made in the USA and hand assembled by the artist. The images are laser-prints on vellum for durability. A 3 watt flicker bulb is recommended - and it should be noted a white bulb might be best on these to keep the color hue of the paper. Small holes in the top piece are present for hanging the lantern with soft wire or strong thread if you prefer a battery operated candle. These lanterns identify edition and color number: "The Pumpkin Patch" #/6 (#/2) 2012 Bindlegrim with the artist's Halloween signature. The Pumpkin Patch --- this edition was created with a focus on vine and leaf motifs to closely merge with the leaf and pumpkin design of the frame. The scene is midnight, deep in the brambles of the pumpkin patch, crawling with a number of spooky creatures staring back at you. There are celestial entities include the Man on the Moon and a screaming Comet. There are plentiful mice, a bevy of bats, a humungous black widow ready to catch something in its web, a crow, and one big black cat prowling on the fence. There is a peek at the haunted forest, where lurks a witch, and a skeleton dangles upside-down with a sign warning of "DANGER". There are lots of pumpkins running about, with a jol-headed scrarecrow in polka dot dress, a jol stuck on a post, other jols swinging from the vines, and a ghost who has donned a pumpkin for a head. And in the middle of all this one very scared little cottage!!! Tall Tales for Shorter Days -- to learn more about the book included in this lot - Tall Tales for Shorter Days - you can visit the book's page on Amazon: (note - the cover shown there is different).
