VINTAGE ORIGINAL SOLID BRASS HEAVY TELESCOPING LABORATORY TABLE LAMP INDUSTRIAL MACHINE AGE IN EXCELLENTCONDITION circa 1930's - FARIES OC WHITE ERA DESIGN:This uniqueadjustablesolid Brass Labtable/desk lamp is simply designed with subtle Streamline styling. It has 3 primary points of articulation, on the main support post allowing it to heighten, at the top of the telescoping tube allowing it to angle and at the shade assembly elbow which allows it to angle the shade. CONDITION:Overall the lamp is in excellent condition, there areminor signs of use with no bending or evident repair...that said there is a smallcrack at the bottom of the main support tube (that part of the lamp is solid inside so the crack is only on the outer cylinder sleeve and does not hamper the integrity.)The lamp parts are all solid Brass (with the exception of the very heavy cast iron base weight}, which shows moderate surface wear and an ideal tarnish patina from age. The lamp retains an original push through switch Brass socket which is electrically sound and functions safely, the power cord has been replaced with rayon wrapped braided insulated wire which is completely functional and safe. The Green enamel bulb shaped shade is very clean with just some minor surface wear to the outside from heat and use. The Brass shrouded weighted base is equally as clean with just light wear and patina. DIMENSIONS:This utilitarian designed laboratory lamp measures approx. 12"-17" tall from the base to the top of the telescoping tube and a general width of 5" ot the added extension arm.The shade measures about 4.5" long...bulb not included.
