British Pattern 1895 Martini Enfield Socket Bayo-very Fine Condition-w/ Scabbard For Sale
Very fine condition original British Pattern 1895 Martini Enfield socket bayonet that is marked on the blade with a few tiny British proofs and dated 10 ’99 for October 1899. Full length triangular blade has beautiful original bright metal finish with some scattered gray, blade has a perfect tip and no nicks or dings. Shank and socket have nice original blue metal finish with a little brown. Complete with working lock ring. Fitted in correct original leather scabbard that has brass throat and tip. Leather body is soft and supple with perfect form, no tears or holes. Shows a little normal wear, stitching is all nice and tight. Brass throat and tip have nice untouched old patina. A beautiful example of this scarce British Martini Enfield bayonet for your collection.
