Here is a marvelous sterling silver master salt dish from the renowned English silver smith Paul Storr of London, England. This item is from the early 19th century and has been remarkably well preserved. There are no dents or dings in the body or bowl. Just a few light scratches interior to the bowl. A fine gold wash all over. Monogrammed crest with inscription in Latin "Astra Castra Numen Lumen". The bowl is 4" in diameter and is attachedby three dolphin feet to a5" diameter footed base. Stands about 4" tall to the upper rim of the bowl.
