This is case #339, 'The Butterfly Chariot, in Union Cases by Krainik, Krainik & Walvoord.This is case #1-88, 'Angel in Chariot,' in Nineteenth Century Photographic Cases and Wall Frames by Berg. This case has a wonderful presence. Please read condition report carefully. There were cracks in it which we suspect were from the sixth plate ambrotype and parts exerting pressure on the case. Therefore, we will enclose the ambrotype and parts separately. SIZE. Sixth plate. COLOR. Black. FRONT. Crisp. Shiny. No evidence of repair. One tiny nick upper left does not show in profile. It is definitely tiny. BACK. Crisp. Shiny. No evidence of repair. There must be a repair there (by us) but I can't see it (my son did it). RAILS. Repaired (by us) stress cracks at the hinges. No white residue as is commonly seen. VELVET. Good color but some wear. HINGES. Very tight. CLASP. Works well. AMBROTYPE. Of a woman. Very good condition. Light mat abrasions. One very small black spot. MAT. Shiny. Clean. Very attractive. PRESERVER. Shiny and clean, but in 3 pieces. APPEARANCE OF CASE. Shiny. Attractive. Looks crisp.
