Ball, Black &Co.Sterling Master Butter Knife in Civil War \"Union\" Pattern (1862):
$39.00

This beautiful sterling butter knife was made by Ball, Black and Company of New York City. I believe this piece was made during the Civil War period given thatthis\"Union\" pattern waspatented in 1862. Ball, Black & Co. (in that incarnation)were in business until 1876. This butter knife is in very nice condition with a great old patina. It has the monogram \"GMC\" on the handle. There is a little bit of wear on the edge of the knife that does not distract in any way from its beauty. The butter knife is 7.25\" long and weighs 1.26 troy ounces.
