Up forsale are these two rare, lovely hand painted ceramic tiles by California mid century well known tile muralist, Barbara VanTrease Beall. Her works can be seen in many places around California as well as at Epcot, Florida. She had her own studio in Torrance,Ca.in the 70,s and was commissioned to do many murals as well as private works. These two ceramic tiles are very vivid in there colors andare signed in frontand have the original paper sticker on the back. There is some slight crazing on one of them whichwould be normal wear forage, but does not detract from there beauty, no chips or cracks.They measure 6\"x 6\" stand not included. Please look at all pictures as they are part of my description. They are very hard to come across and this is for two! I will only be listing them this one last time. Barbara Beall was the founder of the Barbara Vantrease Beall Studio. Many well-known ceramic tile muralists and ceramicists apprenticed and worked at the studio which was located in Torrence, CA. The studio was very active in the 1970s. Other public projects include Los NietosLibrary mural, The Lady Liberty mural in the Los Angeles downtown Fashion District, as well as murals for the Autry Museum and Disney World’s Epcot Center.
