Straight to my heart! I must admit that I adore the small Martins, and this little gem is certainly a serious temptation (I try not to keep pieces in my business). Quite small, the lower bout on this instrument measures a mere 11 1/2 inches. The sound, however, belies the small dimensions of the instrument. This little gem has a beautiful voice. Strong, even, very obviously Martin, and very obviously Brazilian rosewood.
In terms of condition, the instrument has seen its share of use, and some ordinary repairs. Some properly repaired top cracks, and stable side cracks, but the guitar still sports its original finish. The neck and headstock also retain their original black paint, and the interesting wood joinery is visible where the headstock meets the neck. Perhaps my favorite feature of this instrument is the convex curvature of the slots in the headstock. An attractive detail on many late 19th Century Martins. Bridge is a replacement, but is actually very nice, if I were keeping this instrument, I would happily leave the bridge (I'm a stickler).
Please have a look and listen below to a quick recording I made of this guitar.

Please tune into a number of 'Jazz, Period.' installments, which feature horns from my business in the hands of great artists. Al McLean and Kevin Dean take up a number of vintage saxophones and trumpets in my ongoing video exploration of the Montreal Jazz community.
Some horns you will see and hear are a 1944 Martin Handcraft Committee trumpet, three vintage Selmer Mark VI saxes (tenor, alto and soprano), gold plated Buescher Big B alto and Besson flugelhorn, a unique full body engraved Martin C Melody, and a gorgeous Conn Artist Special cornet dating to 1940
